Established in 1983, Transitions Dance Company was the first graduate training company of its kind to be established in the United Kingdom, specifically designed to bridge the gap between study and elite performance practice.
Transitions Dance Company tours extensively, both nationally and internationally and works with three world leading choreographers each year who remain resident with the company while it develops its annual tour programme. In recent years these choreographers have included: Karole Armitage, Hetain Patel, Marina Collard, Richard Chappell, Jarkko Partanen, Bawren Tavaziva, Theo Clinkard and Oded Ronen.
Transitions alumni work as leading dance artists, choreographers and curators, and many graduates have also gone on to perform for many of the major dance companies.
