Alfred Ng, born and raised in Hong Kong, graduated in 2013 after completing his BMus (Hons) in Performance under the tutelage of Gillian Findlay. During his studies at Trinity Laban he performed regularly with the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonietta, and was a finalist in the Vivian Joseph Classical Concerto Competition. As a soloist he has given numerous recitals organised by the Concert Artists Association and the Ealing Festival, London. He has performed at the Shanghai Concert Hall, Tianjin Concert Hall and is currently performing with the Hong Kong String Orchestra, collaborating with the Hong Kong Dance Company.
In 2014 Alfred formed the A.NG Duo with fellow alumnus Grace Cheng. They have performed at the Shanghai Concert Hall and are currently working on compositions by Albanian composer Thomas Simaku, first prize winner of the International Competition for Lutosławski’s 100th birthday.
