My time at Trinity Laban was a life-changing experience. It has opened so many doors to the UK jazz and improvised music community, not least because I met all the members of my band whilst studying there!

Biography

Dee studied jazz saxophone and graduated in 2011 after completing a MMus. Based in London, she is a saxophonist, composer and improviser. She leads her quintet ENTROPI, which has released two albums: New Era (F-IRE label) in 2015 and Moment Frozen (Whirlwind Recordings) which was launched at Kings Place in 2017. Both albums were critically acclaimed, with a four-star review for Moment Frozen in The Guardian. The quintet have played at many leading jazz venues and festivals including EFG London Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival and Cambridge Jazz Festival and Dee was featured in the 'Taking Off' section of Jazzwise magazine. She also co-runs LUME, which focuses on the creation of new original / improvised music, and has organised concert series, tours and festivals as well as running its own record label Luminous.
