My time at Trinity [Laban] was extremely valuable. It was during these four years I met many of the musicians that I still perform with today. It was also a space to form groups rehearse, compose and try a lot of things out musically.

Biography

Duncan Eagles graduated in 2007 with a BMus jazz saxophone. Since graduating he has collaborated with many musicians including Gary Husband, Ola Onabule and Zara McFarlane. He has performed top jazz venues and festivals including Ronnie Scott’s, Kings Place, Cheltenham International Jazz Festival, Vancouver International Jazz Festival, Istanbul Jazz Festival and EFG London Jazz Festival. He performs with band Partikel which has released four albums to critical acclaim and who were nominated for Best Jazz Ensemble at the 2017 Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Duncan also performs with the Ollie Howell Quartet and appears on other artists’ releases. As well as performing, he is a tutor on the Dordogne International Jazz Summer School and holds a weekly residency at award winning jazz club The Hideaway. Duncan was selected to take part in Serious Music's Take 5 scheme in 2017. Duncan will be releasing his debut album in early 2019 on the acclaimed USA label Ropeadope.
