Edward Henderson



Trinity Laban gave me a huge amount of confidence to build a career making experimental music. Collaborative projects as part of my degree meant that I met a group of like-minded artists who I have worked with ever since.

Edward Henderson graduated in 2014 with a MMus in composition. He is co-director of the composers’ collective Bastard Assignments. Their performances at Southbank Centre in 2016 and Wellcome Collection in 2017 were broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and they are the 2017-19 resident on the Open Space programme at Snape Maltings. Edward’s two theatrical pieces - Manspangled and Hum – have been performed at Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival at Kings Place and his solo piano piece, Milk 2, was performed at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney as part of Resonate 2015 festival. His piece for two pianos, Hold, was performed at hcmf// in 2017. Edward also teaches composition and music history in various institutions, runs an inclusive community choir for Certitude and is a featured composer at Borough New Music 2018.
