Biography

Eimear graduated in 2005 with BMus (Hons) flute. Since then she has built a reputation as being one of the world’s most versatile exponents of both the classical and Irish flute. Having appeared as a soloist all over the world, notable solo performances include BBC’s Last Night of the Promsthe World Premiere of Dave Morris’ Concerto in the Library of Congress in Washington DC and with the international choral group, ‘Libera’ in Tokyos Opera City Concert Hall. 

Eimear has recorded for Decca, Universal and Chandos Record labels, has played on BBC Radio, Classic FM and RTE Lyric FM and performed with artists such as Ed Sheehan, Jennifer Hudson Amsterdam and The Pogues. She recently recorded for an American PBS TV special for composerpianist Tim Janis’ new album, recorded albums with pianist Barry Douglas featuring several of her own compositions, and performed in Lord of the Rings in the West End. 

In 2018, Eimear released her debut album ‘Inis’, mixing Irish traditional, classical, pop and original compositions with filmic arrangements. In recognition of her achievements in the Performing Arts, Eimear received an invitation by Her Majesty the Queen to attend a Royal Reception at Buckingham Palace.
