I loved my time at Trinity Laban, the thorough technique training set me up with a strong base to work from. I was able to explore in depth; ballet, Graham, Cunningham and Limon techniques with such excellent teachers, I was pushed and encouraged and supported all the way through my training.

Biography

Elly Braund graduated in 2011 after completing a BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance. She immediately joined Richard Alston Dance Company as an apprentice and in 2013 was invited to become a company dancer. The New York Times said “Elly Braund whose vivid contributions make dancegoers turn to their programs in quest of identification; has presence and individuality.” Elly has toured nationally and internationally with the company, performing work by Richard Alston and Martin Lawrance. In addition she has performed works by Martha Graham, Gary Lambert, Kerry Nicholls, Merce Cunningham (The Bride and the Bachelors staged by Jeannie Steele) and Joseph Tonga (Unease). Alongside performing, Elly regularly teaches for the Richard Alston Dance Company, as well as for the Centre for Advanced Training, The Place and Trinity Laban.
