My time at Trinity Laban was invaluable in helping me to specialise in an area of dance I feel very passionate about. It gave me a hunger to explore new possibilities within dance, and the skills needed to develop my artistry.

Biography

Emily graduated with MA Creative Practice in 2016 having previously completed the PDCD in 2014. She has worked in participatory dance for over ten years, facilitating dance experiences as well as developing opportunities for dance engagement. She has worked with organisations such as English National Ballet and Siobhan Davies Dance, and supported choreographers to produce and tour innovative performance work. In 2016 Emily founded Move Dance Feel, a Community Interest Company which offers dance to women affected by cancer, and partners with cancer care centres to incorporate dance into their activity programmes. Her work as a dance and health specialist has seen her present research findings at numerous industry forums, as well as receive nominations for a OneDanceUK Award and the Mayor of London’s Culture and Wellbeing Award in 2020. Emily serves as a Dance for Health committee member for the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science.
