Dance Artist and Educator
The Post-Graduate Certificate: Dance in Community was a challenging yet widely insightful year of study. I refer to this year as the ‘springboard’ into my varied career as a Dance Artist. The high quality three-tiered approach for training in performance, choreography and teaching is absolutely still relevant to my work today.Hayley Adams
Hayley graduated with a Postgraduate Certificate in Community Dance in 2009. She works as a dance creative, coordinator and educator. After graduating she worked as a dance artist and educator for Dance South Gloucestershire, the Youth Dance Academy (CAT) at Swindon Dance, Bristol University and many more agencies and schools in the south west UK region. In 2014, Hayley was selected for One Dance UK's Dance Teacher Mentor Programme and received a teaching placement at Amsterdam Academie for Theatre and Dance. Now based in Amsterdam, Hayley is performing and creating her own projects which strive to educate, engage and challenge. She works in the independent dance scene, collaborating with BAU, Animu Dance and choreographer Sanne Clifford & Co. Her choreographic commissions included site-based works, Amsterdam Fringe Festival, BIG Dance UK and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her teaching work takes her to international dance laboratories, schools and communities.
