Biography
Jessica Wheeler graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre in 1998, before joining Transitions Dance Company graduating in 1999. Through her experience with Transitions she developed a love of teaching and working with young people.
She has held senior leadership positions at several London Secondary Schools, including Islington Green School, where she set up a Dance Department, established a 40-strong boys’ dance company and was Head of Year. Described by Ofsted as a ‘highly effective leader’, Jessica held senior appointments for Edison Learning, an International School Improvement Company, deployed at Turin Grove Secondary School in Enfield, it was the first whole school management contract of its kind in the UK.
In 2010 she was appointed Principal of the prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School. Jessica has also created a number of television programmes for Teachers TV and is a Team Inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
