I attended Trinity when it was still based in Mandeville Place and have fond memories of choir on Monday afternoons with James Gaddarn in Hinde Street Church and great choral concerts. I then sang in choirs for many years. Also, met my husband during my Trinity years!

Biography
Joan Gibson graduated in 1978 after completing a LTCL in flute. After graduating she pursued a career in music education, teaching in both primary and secondary schools as a classroom teacher, as well as an instrumental teacher and head of department. Joan then moved into senior management and became headmistress of two independent schools. She was then appointed Chief Executive of National Youth Choirs of Scotland, a position Joan held for five years, before being appointed Chief Executive & Artistic Director of the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland. Joan retired in 2017.
