Whilst studying at Trinity [Laban] I received great teaching which helped me to develop my skills as a jazz keyboard player. At Trinity [Laban] I was also able to meet and share ideas with some amazing musicians many of whom I now work with on a regular basis.

Biography

Joe Armon-Jones graduated from Trinity Laban with a BMus (Hons) in jazz piano in 2016. Based in London, he is a keyboard player and producer. He is a member of Ezra Collective with whom he has released two EPs – Chapter 7 and Juan Pablo. Ezra Collective have also played at top venues and festivals including Ronnie Scott’s, Royal Albert Hall, London Jazz Festival and South by South West in Austin, Texas. Ezra Collective won ‘Best Jazz Album’ at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards 2018. At the Jazz FM awards in April 2018 they won 2 awards – ‘UK Jazz Act of the Year’ and ‘Live Experience of the Year’ (presented by Ronnie Scott’s).  Joe also plays with many other artists including Nubya Garcia and Mr Jukes. In 2017, he collaborated with Maxwell Owin on the highly successful album Idiom and Joe’s own album Starting Today is due to be released in May 2018.
