Studying at [Trinity] Laban offered me the opportunity to develop both as an artist and teacher, providing a nurturing and supportive environment in which to explore my artistic interests. It has really launched my career, giving me invaluable skills and experience.

Biography

Katharine graduated in 2015 with a PGDip in Community Dance. As well as performing, she specialises in teaching a range of contemporary and creative dance classes for both children and adults. She facilitates sessions for those with and without physical and learning disabilities and is a Lead Facilitator for Magpie Dance. Since graduating, she has also worked as a freelancer for Arts Odyssey, Trinity Laban and Rounded Rhythm (an inclusive creative arts company). During her time at Laban, her work was chosen to be shown at the Bonnie Bird Theatre and, after graduating, she performed with TenOverSix Dance Company. Katharine is Membership Co-ordinator and Committee Member for the Brighton Dance Network. She is developing a cross-disciplinary project in East Sussex with sound and movement and is also undertaking the Specialist Diploma in Choreological Studies at Trinity Laban.
