Laura Jurd

Jazz Trumpeter, Composer

Trinity Laban provided me invaluable time to develop my own individual voice as an artist as well as the space to hone my craft as a trumpet player. To be amongst such inspiring, open-minded musicians, both on the teaching faculty and fellow students undoubtedly shaped the musician I am today.

Laura Jurd

The Laura Jurd Quartet, featuring fellow alumni Elliot Galvin, Corrie Dick and Conor Chaplin, play regularly at London’s leading jazz venues. She has composed for a variety of ensembles, including the Chaos Orchestra, Mark Lockheart and the Ligeti Quartet and released her debut album in 2012 to critical acclaim.
