Dance Artist, Choreographer
Leila McMillan graduated in 2005, having completed a BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance and an MA Performance (Transitions Dance Company). Since then she has performed internationally with choreographers including Layla Rosa, Wendy Houston, Lea Anderson and Crystal Pite. She has been commissioned multiple times by East London Dance and has shown work at the Lilian Baylis Theatre. She works in collaboration with visual artists Paolo Fiorentini and Isaac Carlos and has had choreographic research residencies at LEM in Argentina, La Caldera in Spain and Plesni Teater Ljubljana in Slovenia. Leila has worked extensively with David Zambrano as a student, performer, assistant and tour manager. She is certified to teach Flying Low and Passing Through, which she teaches regularly at Rambert School, London Contemporary Dance School, Greenwich Dance and Trinity Laban.
