It was then the [Trinity] Laban Centre and my studies there provided me with such a great balance between scholarly work, choreography and performance. Rosana Barragan graduated in 2000 after completing an MA Dance Studies: Choreography, Choreological Studies and Aesthetics. Since then she has worked as an educator, choreographer and performer. She owns a dance studio for children in San Francisco, USA, and also works as an associate professor and the director of an MFA in Dance at St Mary’s College of California. As a choreographer she focuses on site-specific work, and her academic research is in the areas of phenomenology and somatic movement studies.
