Trinity Laban gave me the opportunity to experiment with creative process, technique and performance style. It gave me the confidence to put myself out there again and again, including (literally) finding my voice and starting to use text. I feel very grateful to Trinity Laban for the start it gave me.

Biography

Sonya Cullingford is an actor and dancer who graduated from Transitions Dance Company in 2008. She was in the original cast of Punchdrunk's The Drowned Man and has performed in productions of The Wind in the Willows (as Mole), West Side Story and Elizabeth, all directed and choreographed by Will Tuckett. She recently appeared in Egon Schiele; Dangerous Desires on BBC2 and joins Impermanence in their new piece, Baal, at Bristol Old Vic in 2019. Other artists she has worked with include Aletta Collins, Kerry Nicholls and Liam Steel. Sonya also featured in ‘May contain food’ with Protein. Film credits include The Mummy, Oscar-nominated The Danish Girl and The Ballet of the Nations by Impermanence.
