Biography

Growing up in a family of musicians, Nina completed her higher education in musical studies, followed by a year of Jazz vocals studies at the Swiss Jazz School Bern. She then graduated with a BA in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban, London (2019), followed by one year at the choreographic center La Faktoria in Pamplona. Nina was part of a selected group to participate in David Zambrano’s 60 days intensive research on improvised performing. Currently she is based in Switzerland working as a freelance dancer for Berner Yonis, Cosima Grand, Prisma Kollektiv, Ernestyna Orlowska and MassHysteria Collective to name a few. In 2021 she received the first coproduction of the TANZhAUS BERN where she premiered her solo ‘we made a solo’. In 2023 Nina will begin a new choreographic research on movement and voice with confirmed residencies at Théâtre Sévelin Lausanne, Südpol Luzern and Tanzhaus Zürich. As a board member of BETA – Verein Berner Tanzschaffende Nina is actively engaged in shaping Bern’s freelance dance scene. Since 2021 she is responsible for the administration, communication, curation of the TANZhAUS Bern.
