Biography
Dante began his training in dance at Trinity Laban in 1994. After finishing his studies in the UK, Dante moved to New York where he joined the Limón Dance Company, also performing in the national and international tours of the Broadway shows Tommy and The Wizard of Oz.
He danced on several US reality-based TV shows as well as working commercially with Chita Rivera, Tony Stevens and Jason Robert Brown. Dante returned to the Limón Dance Company in 2008 as principal and soloist until 2015.
After being awarded an MFA from the University of California in 2017, he accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Contemporary Dance at Troy University. During this period he taught and choreographed internationally as well as setting Limón masterpieces for schools and companies. In 2020 he was appointed Artistic Director of the José Limón Dance Foundation.
