A free, fun and inclusive Trinity Laban play day.

Classical music transformed with fun beats, samples and improvisation.

When is it?

Monday 2 August, 09:30 – 16:00

Who is it for?

Curious young musicians aged 13 – 19 years from all musical backgrounds and styles. We especially welcome applications from black and global majority musicians.

What will we do?

TL Lecturer and pianist Emmanuel Vass, violinist and FX specialist Rebekah Reid, and experimental and spoken word musician Dr Diljeet Bhachu will guide you through a day of exploration, creativity and experimentation.

Jam, hang and work together to deconstruct and reconstruct famous classical themes, mixing in loops, samples, beats, and other influences to create “cool classical”. They day will culminate in a ensemble afternoon performance as The Deconstructed Orchestra.

Here’s a taster filmed and edited by Ryce Dugdale…

There are a few spaces remaining – apply by Thursday 29 July 2021 at 17:00.
