Discover what life is like studying at a conservatoire with our free Woodwind and French horn taster day, on Friday 28 October 2016, from 10.30h to 16.30h.
The day will revolve around a masterclass run by Hungarian French horn soloist Szabolcs Zempleni, who has performed internationally in venues such as the Philharmonie Gasteig in Munich, and Carnegie Hall in New York. This will be open to all French horn players.
Prospective students from all disciplines will also have the chance to speak to current students, staff and alumni, as well as attending audition workshops and receiving feedback on playing.
Trinity Laban has a rich history of French horn and woodwind teaching. Former staff including legendary horn player John Burden, famous for performing with the London Symphony Orchestra and on the Beatles’ Sgt Pepper album. Our current teaching staff are drawn from London’s top orchestras, and Trinity Laban alumni currently hold principal woodwind and French horn positions in leading orchestras across the UK, Europe and beyond.
All activities are suitable for woodwind and French horn players who have achieved Grade 5 standard or above.
