Trinity Laban alumnus takes over at CODA
Mon 12 February 2018Trinity Laban alumnus Stine Nilsen has taken over as CEO and Artistic Director of the CODA Oslo International Dance Festival.
Stine Nilsen studied for her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Trinity Laban, first on our internationally acclaimed BA programme and then as a member of Transitions Dance Company – the world’s first graduate dance company. After graduating, she performed with various companies and choreographers before joining Candoco in 2000, dancing with them until she became Co-Artistic Director in 2007.
Speaking of her time at Trinity Laban, Stine Nilsen said:
“I studied with a diverse group of students and teachers, giving me the skills and inspiration to work with many different people in my career. I liked the emphasis on both academic and practical skills, considering the impact of dance on society as well as my personal enjoyment of it.”
This month, Trinity Laban is once again heading to Oslo to hold dance auditions and workshops. Trinity Laban holds auditions throughout Europe and across the world, recruiting dancers for its vibrant and diverse international community.
