Moving Sound: The Performer in Space

Trinity Laban at the Institute of Contemporary Arts

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance will present an evening of new and recent work by current postgraduate students and staff, showcasing a diversity of contemporary interdisciplinary artistic practice, including composition and sonic arts, dance, visual arts and multi-media. The event will encompass multiple interpretations of the related concepts of spatiality and kinetics.

Olivia Edginton - atlas durational live installation with dancer, electronic sounds and film

Jo Cooper – Kaze (goni, I, II, III) for clarinet, harp, flute oboe across various spaces  


19.00-20.10  Theatre

Deirdre Gribbin / Chris Schmidt / Lou Stein – Reflected Glory  - for solo cello and video projection 

Michael Worboys – Lifecycles - for flute/alto flute, clarinet/bass clarinet, trumpet, tenor trombone, harp, violin, viola, cello, double bass and electronic sound

Gwyn Pritchard – Objects in Space - for Cl, percussion and harp

Linda Hirst / Terry Smith – Sights Unseen - for voice, trumpet, cello and video projection

Namhee (Hyekyung) Kim – Darkness into light – for ensemble and dancers

Lamis Harper / Anandi Casanova / Vaida Vaiciulyte – Circles - for two dancers, flute, cello, double bass, video projection and electronic sound

Alice Sara / Clare Baker - Body Stories in a Peopled Space - for dancers

Peter Nagle - Fountainhead  - installation for sinetones and instruments


20.40 - 22.00  Theatre

Zoi Dimitriou – PEREGRINUS - for one dancer; performer: Zoi Dimitriou

Ailie Robertson - Outsider - improvisation for amplified harps, percussionist and video projection

Paul Newland / Marina Collard - going on-going on - live work for solo dancer and electric guitar

Guy Harries - Point - Line – Plane  - with Guy Harries - live electronic sound; Ingvild Marstein Olsen – dance; Valerie Pezeron - live illustration
