In 2005, Trinity College of Music and Laban, leading centres of music and contemporary dance, came together to form Trinity Laban, the UK's first Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
We offer a wide range of programmes in music, dance and musical theatre, including undergraduate, postgraduate and research opportunities.
Faculty of Music
Our Faculty of Music prepares you to enter the exhilarating world of professional music. Our world-class teaching staff belong to the world's leading chamber and jazz ensembles, orchestras, opera and musical theatre companies, are renowned composers and acclaimed recitalists and are joined by an international cast of visiting artists, mentor ensembles and placement partners.
Every music student joins one of our seven Departments:
Within your department you will have individual tuition, small group lessons and masterclasses as well as a wide range of specialist classes and ensemble performances.
We offer the following full-time Undergraduate Music Programmes:
- Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Musical Theatre Performance
We also offer ten Postgraduate Music Programmes for students who have already completed an undergraduate level programme and two Independent Study Programmes (Foundation and Advanced) which last for one year and can be taken prior to or after the completion of undergraduate training.
Faculty of Dance
Trinity Laban's was voted #1 for Dance in The Guardian's annual Higher Education league table for 2014: our Faculty of Dance is one of Europe's leading centres for the training of professional contemporary dance artists and practitioners. We have the largest team of specialist contemporary dance artist/ teachers in the world.
We offer one undergraduate programme, our Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Contemporary Dance, and eight Postgraduate Dance Progammes including our MA Dance Performance whose students form our professional dance company Transitions.
We also offer two One Year Programmes which are normally taken after completion of an initial training or by mature students wishing to enter higher education or continue their professional development.
Our research degree programme offers a stimulating environment in which students can develop their skills at an advanced level. It offers a strong focus on practice and students are able to place the interrogation and exploration of creative and artistic processes at the heart of their research.
