My favourite performance experience has to be one of the Side-by-Side projects, which is when we do an orchestral project just in a day, and we have professionals sitting next to us. It was Petrushka by Stravinsky last year, and I was on first clarinet, and I had a professional sat next to me. The whole time the professional is really pushing you to be the best you can be. We put it all together in a day and do a concert, and I think the standard of all the performers is just raised purely by having someone so experienced sat next to you.

The best thing about studying in London is the opportunity to play with so many musicians. The music scene is just great, and for me personally I’ve been able to play in lots of orchestras – at Trinity Laban, but also different student orchestras throughout the city.
