Strings Audition Preparation Day

Prepare for your conservatoire auditions with confidence! Trinity Laban is opening its doors to all string players looking to audition for conservatoire study.

What’s included?

You’ll spend the morning in our stunning 18th-century Faculty of Music building, learning from members of our teaching staff who sit on real audition panels. This will give you the opportunity to see and learn from a mock audition (given by a current student) and gain first-hand insight into the application and audition process. You’ll spend the afternoon with members of our teaching faculty in a workshop, and receive tips on how to play your best. 

What skills will you gain?

• Learn how to control your nerves in a stressful situation. 
• Observe a mock audition and interview so you know exactly what to expect on the day. 
• Learn how to approach sight-reading, getting the most out of your preparation time. 
• Find out what an audition panel is looking for. 
• Have the opportunity to perform one of your chosen pieces and receive expert feedback. 
• Have a tour of our historic Greenwich campus and an informal chat with our Head of Strings Nic Pendlebury.
