Eugene Feygelson is a Brooklyn-born London-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, events organizer and business developer. He is one of the founders of the i=u festival and the managing director of Spoke Music. Recent creative highlights include film and studio recordings with Ghostpoet and Mica Levi (Under the Skin). Feygelson was recently featured on NPR radio (USA) discussing his work on improvisation and music psychology.
Feygelson studied performance and composition at the Eastman School of Music (Rochester, New York) and the University of Cambridge. He has recently finished his PhD on nonverbal communication and the psychology of improvisation at King’s College London and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
As a violinist and singer-songwriter, Feygelson has performed in a variety of concert venues and festivals, including Carnegie’s Zankel Hall (NYC), Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, the Udderbelly at the Southbank and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His film music credits include the award-winning British feature film BONOBO directed by Matthew Hammett Knott starring James Norton and Tessa Peake-Jones.
