Biography

Scott Harrison trained in Musical Theatre at Guildhall School of Acting and the Dance School of Scotland MTC. He is both a highly experienced professional performer and teacher.

Some of the performance work Scott has been involved in includes Butler/Asher in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (National Tour), Doug in the Original Irish Cast Album of Elegies: For Angels, Punks & Raging Queens and The Intruder in See How They Run (Pomegranate Theatre). He originated the roles of Roy in Supermarket! The Musical/Rebels and Retail and Ford Maddox/Hangman in Scandalous! (Nottingham Playhouse) and was in the Ensemble in Only The Brave (Concert), as well as leading man Diamond Jim in The Diamond Horseshoe (Disneyland, Tokyo), Frank Lacey in ITV’s Albert's Memorial alongside David Jason and David Warner, and Psycho Joey & Sketch regular in BBC’s Life According to Fred alongside comedian Fred McCauley. He is also no stranger to performing in the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, having performed in such pieces as Berlioz's Te Deum under the direction of internationally renowned conductor Susanna Mälkki with the BBC Symphony Choir.

Teaching Experience

As a teacher, Scott is currently a Lecturer of Singing at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, a Lecturer of Singing and Musical Theatre at Trinity Laban, Head of Singing at West End Musical Theatre and a Singing Tutor at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. He also works around the UK, Europe and Asia, regularly training students in all aspects of singing technique, repertoire and audition/performance technique. He has also worked at LAMDA, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Guildford School of Acting, Arts Educational London, Bodyworks/Cambridge Academy of Performing Arts, Primoatto Productions, Rijn IJssel (Arnhem, the Netherlands), t’extpierement (Oss, Netherlands), Evolve Arts (Singapore) and The Brit School, Croydon. Scott work has also seen him as the audition pianist for American producers NCL Productions for their London casting sessions.

Scott has also designed and leads courses in Integrative Voice Practices for Singing and Voice Teachers at the National Opera Studio in London.

Further teaching credits include being Choirmaster and Singing Tutor at Enfield Grammar School, Musical Director for TeacherAct, and a Guest Tutor at UK Theatre School and the finalists of TV’s Don’t Stop Believing – Singer Station (Glasgow). On top of all of this, he currently runs his own global training company called Performance Studio International and also a private singing practice where he works with a wide range of clients from some of the West End’s top leading performers, current recording artists, and musical theatre performers on Broadway.
