Biography

Verity is a seasoned West End performer, having played both lead and ensemble in a variety of musicals. She was most recently in Carousel at the Coliseum with the ENO.

Before that, she played the role of Marge/Milan Stage Manager in the original London cast of Kinky Boots at the Adelphi Theatre. Other shows include Sweeney Todd, Sunny Afternoon, Sister Act, The Sound of Music and Jerry Springer, the Opera amongst others. She is in constant demand as a singing teacher and vocal coach at the highest level and works regularly as a musical director and arranger.

Verity is also an experienced session and concert singer and has sung backing vocals for Dionne Warwick and Josh Groban, performed in two Proms with the John Wilson Orchestra, and was a featured vocalist in a collaboration with the English National Ballet entitled Strictly Gershwin.

Qualifications / Educational Background

First Class BMus (Hons) Trinity College of Music, and a PGDip and DipRAM from the Royal Academy of Music. 

 

Creative Outputs

Her recording work includes two Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks, Rodgers & Hammerstein at the Movies with the John Wilson Orchestra, Numbers Rush By for band Tonic Fold, the demo for Cinderella by Anne Dudley and Stephen Fry and the debut albums of both Simon Bowman and Annalene Beechey.

As a composer/lyricist, her CD Scrapbook - the songs of Rob Archibald and Verity Quade can be found on iTunes and Amazon. She is currently writing a new musical with her collaborators.
