Travel to King Charles Court:

Docklands Light Railway (recommended route)

The easiest way to reach the Faculty of Music is by Docklands Light Railway, alighting at Cutty Sark station. The DLR and London Underground connect at Bank, Tower Gateway, Canary Wharf/Heron Quays, and Stratford.

Bus

Bus numbers 177, 180, 188, 199, 286 and 386 all bring you to the heart of Greenwich.

Train

If travelling from Central London, travel from Cannon Street to Greenwich. There are frequent trains and the journey time is approximately 12 minutes. On arrival at the station, turn left on the road towards town. The Faculty of Music is approximately a 15-minute walk away.

Bicycle

There are also ample cycle racks in the centre of Greenwich, just before the East Gate to the Old Royal Naval College.

Car

Greenwich can be accessed via the M25, A2, A20 and the South Circular (A250). Parking is not permitted within the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College. We have a limited number of disabled parking spaces available on site. Please book ahead on 020 8269 4799 or email boxoffice@ornc.org.

Air

London City Airport and London Gatwick are the most convenient airports for Greenwich. From London City Airport take a mainline train to Canning Town and change on to the Jubilee Line. Travel to Canary Wharf and change to the Docklands Light Railway there (see above). From Gatwick, catch a train to London Bridge, change there to a mainline train to Greenwich. If you are landing at Heathrow, travel into London on the Piccadilly Line, changing at Green Park on the Jubilee Line (see London Underground and Docklands Light Railway above).

Travel to the Laban Building:

Docklands Light Railway (recommended route)

The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) offers a frequent service to Cutty Sark station which is a 15-minute leisurely walk from the Laban Building. The DLR joins to the London Underground at Monument / Bank (Central, Circle and District Lines), Shadwell (East London Line), Canary Wharf (Jubilee Line) and Stratford (Central Line). At Cutty Sark, turn right out of the station and right again on to Creek Road. Take the second left after the bridge, Creekside and the Laban Building is a on your left.

Train

If travelling from Central London, travel from Cannon Street to either Deptford or Greenwich. There are frequent trains and the journey time is approximately 10 to 12 minutes. The Laban building is approximately a 10-minute walk from either station.

Bus

Nearby stops include MacMillan Students Village (stops D and H), Creekside (stop G) and Creek Road (stop K)

Bus numbers 47, 53, 177, 188, 199, 225 and 453 stop near Laban Building.

Bicycle

We have cycle racks at the rear of the building.

Car

Parking is not available at the Laban Building itself, but there is pay and display parking in the Wavelengths complex, which is a 5-10 minute walk away. We do have a number of disabled parking spaces to the front of the building.

From Central London: Take the Old Kent Road to its end in New Cross then follow the A2 until you reach the junction for Deptford Church Street. Turn left and continue to the mini roundabout, turn right into Creekside, and the main entrance to the Laban Building is on your left.

From M2/M25: Follow the A2 until you reach the turning for the junction for Deptford Church Street. Turn right and continue to the mini roundabout, turn right into Creekside and the main entrance to the Laban Building is on your left.

Air

London City Airport and London Gatwick are the most convenient airports for Deptford. From London City Airport take a mainline train to Canning Town and change on to the Jubilee Line. Travel to Blackheath Halls:

Train

Leave Charing Cross, Victoria, Waterloo East and London Bridge towards Bexleyheath/Dartford. We’re a 2-minute walk from Blackheath station. Come out of the station, cross the road, turn right and walk up the hill, the Halls will be on your left.

Bus

54, 89, 108, 202, 380, 386, N53 and N108 all stop in Blackheath.

Docklands Light Railway

The nearest Docklands Light Railway station is Lewisham. Connections to Blackheath Halls can be made by train or bus.

Car

The A2, A20 and South Circular all provide easy access to Blackheath. Situated at the South end of the village, Blackheath Halls is on the junction of Lee Road and Belmont Hill.

There is ample parking in the Station Car Park which is 2-minute walk from the Halls. Please note there is no parking at the Halls themselves and that parking is not permitted on Blackheath Park.
