Respectful Behaviour
Trinity Laban is committed to principles of social justice and to challenging all forms of inequality. In line with this commitment, we aim to ensure that:
-
All individuals are treated fairly, with dignity and respect, regardless of age, gender, marital status, disability, race, faith, belief, social or economic background, sexual orientation, or any other immaterial distinction.
-
Everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
-
A supportive and inclusive environment is promoted for staff, students, visitors and participants.
-
A zero-tolerance approach is taken to behaviour that compromises the dignity of others, including bullying, harassment and inappropriate or intimidating behaviour.
Everyone regardless of protected characteristics or individual differences is entitled to work and learn in an environment free from behaviour that undermines their dignity. This applies to staff, students, visitors and programme participants. All members of staff, teaching and non-teaching, are responsible for upholding these principles.
We ask that you:
-
Actively engage in each class or activity, and inform staff if an injury, illness or wellbeing concern may affect your participation.
-
Be supportive and respectful through your language, tone and behaviour. Listen to others’ ideas and respect differences.
-
Follow reasonable instructions from Trinity Laban staff, including teachers and teaching assistants.
-
Approach creative tasks that involve touch with sensitivity and care, acknowledging that each individual has different physicality, comfort levels and personal boundaries.
-
Use official Trinity Laban email addresses and phone numbers for all communication. All feedback and programme-related suggestions should be directed to the administrative team, not to artists.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please:
-
Arrive on time. If you arrive after the class has begun, the teacher may not permit you to join to ensure proper warm-up and safety. If you have an injury or access needs and require parking, please contact the Programme Manager in advance so that a space can be arranged with security.
-
Inform us in advance of any disabilities, injuries or medical conditions that may affect your participation so that reasonable adjustments can be made.
-
Avoid wearing jewellery during movement classes for safety reasons.
