Ayshen Mustafa-Abdullah

Ayshen is a teaching artist for Public Engagement. She teaches on a variety of programmes including classes for youth, adults, and creative health.

Ayshen a.k.a. Icy Ice 54 is a Freelance Dance Artist and practitioner who has been teaching in Academic and Community settings across London for over 16 years. Ayshen is the Artistic Director of Dynamic Eclipse Arts (D.E Arts), founded at Roehampton University in 2003 while studying her BA (Hons) in Dance Studies. Ayshen is currently the Lead Choreographer at NewVIc College, leading the colleges’ Dance Company NDC.

Ayshen has created a technique style called D.Eology, which is a combination of Contemporary and Hip-hop foundations, with influences from different culture dances surrounding her while growing up and training.

Ayshen is passionate about community dance, outreach projects and #SupportingTheArts either by working behind the scenes and working closely with schools, colleges, artist and local companies to promote dance and well-being from a grass root movement. Ayshen works in a creative way to deliver fun, high-energy, accessible dance sessions / workshops to all ages and abilities, while pushing themselves and learning about the movement and music in the session.
