Charlotte Edmonds

Biography

Charlotte is a British choreographer and director. She trained at The Royal Ballet Lower School and the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, and was The Royal Ballet’s Inaugural Young Choreographer. In 2021 she completed a Master’s Degree in Choreography at Central School of Ballet. 

She has created work internationally for classical and contemporary companies including: The Royal Ballet, Bayerisches Staatsballett, Northern Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet and Studio Wayne McGregor, as well as schools and institutions such as The Place, Rambert School and Dance Arts Faculty Roma.  

Beyond the stage, Charlotte has collaborated with cultural organisations such as LOST, Sotheby’s, Gazelli Art House, and Soho House, and with brands and artists including Nike x Spotify, The Beaumont and Burberry. Her choreography and movement direction extend into film and music, with projects for artists such as Jehnny Beth, Gretel, and Lola Young (Messy on The Graham Norton Show), as well as BBC Arts and Nowness.

Class Description

Charlotte’s teaching introduces her distinctive approach to movement, which explores cohesion and resistance to expand the body’s potential. Her classes combine choreographic exercises with technical phrases, encouraging creativity, physical awareness, and connection. She invites dancers to reimagine how classical and contemporary styles can intersect and are ideal for anyone eager to expand their movement vocabulary and technique.
