Nabi Brown stars in premiere of cult Korean rock musical The Last Man

Musical Theatre student Nabi Brown plays the central role in the English-language world premiere of The Last Man at Southwark Playhouse Elephant.

The Last Man is a gripping one-person musical that unfolds like a psychological thriller – part gig, part video diary, part survival story. Driven by a live rock score, immersive sound design and dark humour, it asks a haunting question: when the world changes forever, what are you living for?

With dramaturgy by Olivier Award-winner Jethro Compton and direction by Daljung Kim, the one-person Korean rock musical by Jishik Kim and Seungyeon Kwon makes its UK debut at Southwark Playhouse Elephant in London this May. The role of The Survivor is shared by two cast members across performances, Trinity Laban student Nabi Brown and actor Lex Lee. They will share the central role across the run, performing on alternate nights and offering distinct interpretations of the survivor.

Nabi is a passionate singer-actor in her final year of the undergraduate Musical Theatre course at Trinity Laban. She is a dual citizen of both the UK and South Korea, with a multicultural upbringing, having moved around various countries in Asia.

The production runs from Friday 8 May to Saturday 13 June 2026 at Southwark Playhouse Elephant, with a press night on Wednesday 13 May at 19:00.
