Trinity Laban awarded Erasmus Charter for Higher Education

We have successfully secured an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), marking an important milestone in our preparations to rejoin Erasmus+. As one of 163 UK institutions to be awarded the Charter, we will be able to apply for Erasmus+ funding when the UK joins the programme as an associated third country from January 2027.

International mobility remains an important part of the Trinity Laban experience. In recent years, we have continued to welcome incoming exchange students from European partner institutions and support our own students to study abroad. Rejoining Erasmus+ will help us build on this activity, creating more opportunities for our students to experience new cultures, broaden their artistic perspectives and develop international networks.

Our focus now is on strengthening relationships with partners across Europe, progressing partnership discussions and building our capacity ahead of the Erasmus+ funding calls in 2027. This work is complemented by our ongoing engagement with the wider European higher education community, including participation in the European Association of Conservatoires‘ Annual Meeting for International Relations Coordinators.

We look forward to working with partners across Europe to create meaningful exchange opportunities for our students, while welcoming more incoming students to our creative community through Erasmus+.
