First-year music students Ana-Maria Ilie and Edi Idiong have both been awarded the prestigious Sony Music Group Scholarship.
As a commitment through the Global Social Justice Fund, Sony Music Group, in partnership with IIE, established a new global scholarship program in 2022 that propels the future careers of young, diverse talent in the music industry. This program aims to advance access to post-secondary education at a wide range of leading music and music business education institutions in the global community.
The award consists of 6,000 USD, as well as workshops, mentorships, and webinars with Sony Music Group experts.
On receiving the award, Ana-Maria Ilie said: “It is an incredible honour to have been awarded the Sony Music Group Scholarship. Knowing that such a prestigious organisation believes in my potential, and enables me to continue my studies at Trinity Laban, inspires me to work even harder and to grow as an artist. I am sincerely grateful to Sony Music Group, the Institute of International Education, and everyone who made this opportunity possible!”
