Last week, we welcomed Ma Jun – the Vice-Mayor of Beijing – and his esteemed colleagues to Trinity Laban as part of their recent visit to the UK. The visit was organised with the help of our partners Beijing Dance Academy.
Trinity Laban and Beijing Dance Academy are working together to develop a proposal for Transnational Education Programmes that will enable students to study towards a Trinity Laban degree in China.
The Vice-Mayor of Beijing and his colleagues Zhang Yaotian, Wang Xianping, Dong Chuan, and Han Jiayi were welcomed by our Artistic Director Dr Aleks Szram, Vice-Chair Max Puller, Deputy Director (Learning & Teaching and Student Experience) Vicki Stretton and other members of Trinity Laban staff.
The group visited both the Laban Building in Deptford, and King Charles Court in Greenwich where they enjoyed performances from our Musical Theatre students, had a tour of the world-famous Painted Hall, and joined specially invited guests for a traditional British dinner at Admiral’s House.
