Musical Theatre Dress Rehearsals for Schools
We offer school groups the opportunity to experience a dress rehearsal for our Musical Theatre productions.
With a limited number of free tickets on offer, these are a fantastic and accessible opportunity for your students to experience a professional production and be inspired to continue their own performing arts journey. Each dress rehearsal offers schools and – occasionally – further education (FE) college students the chance to see future stars of the West End and get an insight into the workings of a professional production.

Once Upon A Mattress

This 1959 Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical is a humorous twist on “The Princess and the Pea”. Queen Aggravain has decreed no couples can marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, finds a bride. Can the shy princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, pass the impossible tests the Queen has set for her?
Cry-Baby
Friday 4 December at 14:30 and 19:00
Laban Theatre, SE8
Cry-Baby is a comedy of rockabilly-fuelled teen rebellion, set in 1954’s Baltimore and based on the John Waters movie. Allison is drawn across the tracks from her finishing-school background when she meets Wade “Cry-Baby” Walker, the leader of rebel outcasts.
Tickets are FREE for both events, but likely to be restricted to a maximum of 30 per school in the case of high demand. Please note that these are working dress rehearsals and not final performances, so there may be pauses or changes during the show.
