Solo Piano Christos Fountos
Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra

Turangalîla is the only symphony by the French composer Olivier Messiaen, a tour de force taking the audience on a wild ride through love, life and the universe. It is considered one of the greatest musical compositions of the twentieth century, described by Messiaen as full of “superhuman, overflowing, blinding, unlimited joy”.

Where better to perform this extraordinary soundscape than in the ‘concrete concert hall’ at Bold Tendencies as the sun sets over London on a summer evening? Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra collaborates with Bold Tendencies as part of their 20th anniversary season, Euphoria. This extraordinary event, a highlight of our summer performance season, features Imsu Choi on the Ondes Martenot and Christos Fountos on solo piano, conducted by Oksana Lyniv.
