Event details
Calling all trombone, bass trombone, tuba and euphonium players aged 11-18: join us for a day to experience the power and versatility of low brass instruments. Be inspired by and connect with Trinity Laban brass tutors and meet like-minded young brass players.
Led by bass trombonist Richard Henry, whose career spans the multiple performance platforms of the recording studio, TV, Concert Hall and Musical Theatre, our team of expert tutors and student musicians will work with you across the day as you explore instrument-specific techniques and immerse yourself in a range of low brass instrumental ensembles.
Trinity Laban students and graduates will also join you demonstrating the wide-ranging skillsets needed by the 21st Century low brass player. The day will end with the sonorous Deep Brass Sound, as we all join in a massed low brass closing performance. Across the day there will be opportunities to get lots of advice on practice methods, approaches to performance, auditions and career pathways.
You will take part in a range of sessions, including:
- Instrument-specific technique classes;
- Ensemble experiences;
- An end of day performance;
