Lunar Pull
Lunar Pull uses the changes in the moon’s phases as a metaphor for the development of interpersonal relationships. Through specific lunar phase changes, it presents the process of people moving from being strangers, to being tentative, to discovering each other, to becoming dependent and encountering conflicts. The work combines studies of gravity, cosmic orbits, and contact improvisation, using minimalist movements, spatial routes, and changes in lighting to construct constantly changing distance relationships. Through physical practices such as weight exchange, imbalance, and restoration, it showcases the proximity, dislocation, interweaving, and separation within the relationships.

To Be Rewritten
“To Be Rewritten” is the final experiment in the “To Be” trilogy. It explores the temporary aspects of performance, using audience participation to instigate change. For this investigation, the work “Override” will be subjected to experimental conditions. It interrogates the various relationships between authority and autonomy (e.g. between the performers and sound), allowing participants to shift the parameters of these interactions.
