Old Royal Naval College Trinity Laban Chapel Choir: Handel Messiah

Old Royal Naval College Trinity Laban Chapel Choir set the mood for the festive season with a performance of Handel’s Messiah. Composed in 1741, this three-part English oratorio traces the prophecy, birth, crucifixion, resurrection and eternal redemption of Jesus Christ, with some of the most memorable choruses in classical music.

This choral masterpiece is known for its stirring arias and powerful choruses, including the iconic ‘Hallelujah’ chorus. Although drawn from the structure of the King James Bible, the music transcends its themes, and all audiences are welcome at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel, regardless of faith.
