Aleth Berenice is a choreographer, performer, and educator specialising in Martha Graham Technique and contemporary movement practice. She trained at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in New York, where she completed both the Professional Training Program and Pedagogy Program, following earlier studies at The Alley School and the Royal Academy of Dance, where she graduated with First Class Honours in Ballet Education. 

As a performer, Aleth has performed works from the Martha Graham repertory including Lamentation, Chronicle, and Appalachian Spring, alongside contemporary and interdisciplinary projects presented internationally across the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States. 

Her choreographic and film work has received multiple international awards and screenings, including presentations at Lincoln Center in New York, Florence Dance on Screen, and the Women in Dance Leadership Conference in Los Angeles. She is the recipient of the Pearl Lang Award from the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, recognising excellence in choreography, and the 2026 LBC Gainsbury Award from the London Ballet Circle. 

Alongside her artistic practice, Aleth has taught and lectured internationally for institutions and organisations including English National Ballet, English National Ballet School, the Royal Academy of Dance, Acosta Dance Centre, and professional training programs across Europe. 

Her pedagogical approach focuses on the embodied logic, expressive dynamics, and contemporary relevance of Martha Graham Technique as both a physical discipline and artistic language.

Class description:  

 Prepare your body for the day ahead with this Contemporary Graham based class. Through the pillars of contraction, release and spiral we will challenge your centre of gravity through the use off-balance; and explore musicality with uneven rhythms and challenging rhythmical combinations. You can expect a spinal warm up, floor work, standing combinations, and plenty of travelling and jumps at the end of the class.  

Led by British-Turkish choreographer, Ceyda Tanc, the company creates athletic contemporary dance influenced by Tanc’s Turkish heritage. Ceyda’s work seeks to challenge traditional gender representation in dance and highlight the intersection of cultures in modern Britain, embedding themes of feminism, ritual and ceremony. Ceyda Tanc Dance creates work that is accessible, enjoyable and empowering for audiences from all backgrounds.

Class Description — The Guardian A fast-paced class drawing on Ceyda Tanc Dance’s unique vocabulary, combining athletic contemporary movement with influences from Turkish folk dance. Expect rhythmic folk-inspired steps, intricate gestures and dynamic phrases designed to utilise your full physicality. Starting with an extended warm-up that builds strength, stamina, and flexibility, the class progresses with turning and traveling drills followed by complex company repertory to hone technique and performance skills. An empowering experience that draws on the strength and virtuosity of Turkish folk dance, this class is an opportunity to push your limits in a supportive, high-energy setting. Led by company dancers. 

Charlotte is a British choreographer and director. She trained at The Royal Ballet Lower School and the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, and was The Royal Ballet’s Inaugural Young Choreographer. In 2021 she completed a Master’s Degree in Choreography at Central School of Ballet. 

She has created work internationally for classical and contemporary companies including: The Royal Ballet, Bayerisches Staatsballett, Northern Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet and Studio Wayne McGregor, as well as schools and institutions such as The Place, Rambert School and Dance Arts Faculty Roma.  

Beyond the stage, Charlotte has collaborated with cultural organisations such as LOST, Sotheby’s, Gazelli Art House, and Soho House, and with brands and artists including Nike x Spotify, The Beaumont and Burberry. Her choreography and movement direction extend into film and music, with projects for artists such as Jehnny Beth, Gretel, and Lola Young (Messy on The Graham Norton Show), as well as BBC Arts and Nowness.

Class Description

Charlotte’s teaching introduces her distinctive approach to movement, which explores cohesion and resistance to expand the body’s potential. Her classes combine choreographic exercises with technical phrases, encouraging creativity, physical awareness, and connection. She invites dancers to reimagine how classical and contemporary styles can intersect and are ideal for anyone eager to expand their movement vocabulary and technique.  

Julian Nichols is a Canadian-Italian choreographer, performer, and founder of Bodies in Action, a contemporary dance company established in 2021. His artistic practice focuses on queer identity, gender representation, and social equity through dance-theatre, film, and community collaboration. His notable works include Affirming Our Identity, It’s My Birthday!, GUARDIANS, and the award-winning dance film Creature. Supported by funders such as Arts Council England, the Canada Council for the Arts, and the National Lottery Community Fund, his productions blend movement and language to challenge traditional narratives.  

An experienced educator, Julian teaches for leading companies including Studio Wayne McGregor, Rambert, New Adventures, and National Dance Company Wales, alongside institutions like The Place and Rambert School. His accessible, improvisation-based approach ensures participants of all levels can engage with movement. Under his leadership, Bodies in Action is dedicated to inclusivity and community engagement, using workshops, roundtables, and performances to celebrate underrepresented voices, foster well-being, and use contemporary dance as a tool for social change.

Class Description:

Starting the class with 10 minutes of body awareness and breathwork, we will stack the skeletal structure accordingly to prepare for a ballet class. We will move to the barre, followed by the centre, and move quite physically across for pirouettes through a structured ballet class with contemporary influence. This class holds a sense of no expectation and is for the dancers taking part in the class. 

Cathy is a multi award-winning Choreographer and Movement Director, working in dance, film and theatre. Cathy choreographed for multiple organisations; BBC, Tate Modern and Breakin’ Convention before founding Cathy Waller Company in 2012.  

Cathy Waller Company’s dance works have toured nationally on stages including Sadler’s Wells, West End Live, National Theatre, The Place, DanceEast, and Greenwich and Docklands International Festival. Internationally, Cathy has worked in Germany, Portugal, Iceland, Kenya and Azerbaijan. 

Alongside her choreographic work, Cathy works as a Movement Director for theatre productions. Her credits include the National Theatre, Leeds Playhouse, Nottingham Playhouse, Barbican, The Other Palace, Hope Mill Theatre, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Theatre Clwyd, and Park Theatre. 

Class description: 

Cathy will lead dynamic, rhythm-focused, and fast-paced classes full of expansive movement, sweeping floor work, and contrasting dynamics, exploring pulse, pause, groove, and precision. Classes explore how a variety of beat-driven music can challenge, inspire, and energise the way we move, encouraging dancers to respond to rhythm, texture, and musical detail with confidence, musicality, and expression. 

Adaptations are always welcome, with dancers encouraged to explore the material in ways that work for their bodies, creating an inclusive environment where everyone can experience the groove and joy of movement.

Jordan James Bridge is a multi award winning and nominated choreographer / performer using the medium of dance for stage, screen & fashion. Jordan has been a company dance artist for Alexander Whitley Dance Company, Tavaziva Dance, Michael Clark Com pany and was a long standing dance artist of Company Wayne McGregor for 7 years.

Jordan has had the chance to be involved in many projects alongside his extensive inter national touring work; +/- HUMAN at the Roundhouse in London in collaboration with The Royal Ballet. ‘This is Not a Show’, a collaboration between Nick Knight, Gareth Pugh. ‘Winged Bull in the Elephant Case’, a recorded performance for BBCTwo & BBCiPlayer. ‘SOMA’, a live performance for COS Stores at Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy. ‘Living Archive’ – An AI experiment working closely with Google Arts & Culture. English National Opera’s rendition of ‘Orpheus & Eurydice’. ‘Torus’, collaboration with Nick Knight & fash ion designer Fredrik Tjaerandsen. ‘Next Steps’, menswear fashion for Esquire style by Catherine Hayward and shot by Ruth Ossai.

More recently Jordan has been a dancer for Disney’s ‘The Marvels’, been involved with ‘ABBA Voyage’ and has walked for Moschino SS24 in Milan fashion week for Katie Grand. Jordan was nominated for ‘Emerging Artist’ as both dancer & choreographer for the Na tional Dance Award 2024 from the Dance Critics Circle in London and has won multiple awards with his dance films ‘Us’, ‘Locked Down’ & ‘PARASITE’ under the categories ‘Best Choreography’ & ‘Best Dance Short’ in 2018, 2021 & 2023.  

Jordan created his first 1 act ballet for the Györi Ballet in Hungary for their Autumn season in 2024 inspired by sci-fi movies such as Alien, Arrival & Close Encounters of the Third Kind, this piece was entitled ‘Falling into Jupiter’. Jordan is also a consistent creative entity at Ballet Nights in London and has been a 6 x commissioned artist as both performer and choreographer, creating bold and daring works that have brought critical acclaim and recognition. He is also an internationally reknowned lecturer, providing both Cunningham based tech nique and his signature Guided Improvisation method as workshops &/or masterclasses. He has taught at The Royal Ballet School, Royal Danish Ballet Summer School, Interna tional Ballet Masterclass Verona and many more institutions companies and schools 

Class description: 

Jordan’s contemporary class offers a technical and physically charged progressive warm up composed of various techniques learnt through his career. The main focus is Cunningham, with elements taken from release & floor work when moving through space. The class is both fast paced and filled with musicality to challenge both body and mind, this enables the dancers to focus on their own personal development when approaching the classes.

Beatrice is a London-based Italian teacher and dance artist. She completed her MA in Contemporary Dance at the LCDS in 2016. 

For the past 15 years, she has taught ballet and contemporary dance in a variety of vocational and community settings. She has worked extensively with Ballet4Life® and the charity Move Into Wellbeing®, delivering ballet and contemporary dance classes for adults of all levels, as well as movement classes for people living with Parkinson’s.In 2018, she co-founded with her colleague Orley Quick BOTH Dance Classes, a South East London-based company offering professional training and adult dance classes. Alongside her teaching practice, Beatrice is happy to perform in projects by independent choreographers and is keen on collaborative artistic productions and writing/thinking.  

Class Description: 

This ballet class starts with simple warm up barre exercises to establish clear placement, core stability and movement clarity. The material then progresses and builds up in pace and complexity to prepare the body and the mind for centre work. This consists of longer combinations with a particular emphasis on coordination, timing, use of space and dynamics – still maintaining the clarity of the form. The main aim of the class is fluidity, musicality and flavour, with research and care for movement transitions as opposed to aesthetic goals. 

JONA DANCE is a project based contemporary dance company situated in London. It was founded in 2019 by dance artist and creative, Monique Jonas, our current Artistic Director.  

Jona Dance was born out of years of noticing the lack of cultural diversity within the contemporary dance industry in the UK, and a desire to promote a message of inclusivity. Here at Jona, we believe that art is created by the people, for the people; so we intend on creating work that is inclusive and accessible to more than just a select few. We work to promote the inclusivity of experiences through art by offering alternative narratives, boosting visibility and understanding the impact of positive representation in dance. 

We are a movement based organisation that aims to foster and facilitate spaces that amplify “silenced” voices and give platforms for marginalised voices of the African Diaspora to be seen and heard.  Drawing from Lived experience in the UK and focusing on UK based artists, we aspire to bring a well rounded foundation to the company so that we can facilitate a safe and professional space for artists to thrive. Whilst there is an intentional focus to uplift and support artists of colour, here at JONA DANCE, our doors are open to dancers from all backgrounds and all walks of life. 

We started our artistic journey with a solo titled Toh-Kuhn, which explored the nuances of Black-British Life. This was later developed into a full length work for three dancers, which premiered at The Place Theatre in 2020. Since then we have gone on to create work for Ballet Black, Rambert School, National Youth Ballet, Reebok and London Fashion Week to name a few. We created our second full length work Siren Calls to an Illusive Journey in 2022, which premiered in Leicester at the Let’s Dance International Frontiers Festival.  

For us, it’s about delivering high quality dance services with the interests of people at our core. It’s about building connection, exploring humanity and daring to challenge the norm.
