find out moreTrinity Laban’s guitar department is led by internationally renowned recitalist and recording artist, Graham Devine. The department has a reputation for excellence and attracts talented young guitarists from the UK and around the world. Trinity Laban guitar students are offered a wide range of lessons to fully support their development for entry into the music profession.
All Guitar students, both postgraduate and undergraduate, study a broad range of solo repertoire in Individual Tuition lessons and take part in group tuition sessions, in which students from all years study together.

Every undergraduate student is additionally entitled to eight hours of Principal Study Enhancement (PSE) sessions throughout the year. You can choose:
Weekly departmental classes cover a wide range of topics from orchestral etiquette, audition preparation, sight reading, improvisation and period performance practice, to teaching techniques and key business skills for musicians

Chamber Music
David Kenedy is the Strings Chamber Music Coordinator for all Strings and works together with Graham Devine to create an exciting Chamber Music programme for all guitarists. Together they organise Strings chamber music and liaises with chamber music coordinators in other departments to develop mixed ensembles.
Royal Greenwich Guitar Festival
The annual Royal Greenwich Guitar Festival features recitals by established guitarists and students from Trinity Laban’s Guitar Department, masterclasses, and a classical guitar course.

Our truly magnificent location – the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich – is the envy of the world.
