Felicity Kerr

Biography

Felicity joined Trinity Laban as a member of staff in 2018 and has since taught on both BA1 and BA2 undergraduate dance programmes, in addition to teaching on Movement for Musicians Module for music students. She currently teaches on the following components:

BA1

  • Ways of Seeing Lecturer
  • Historical Perspectives on Dance (Component Leader)


BA2

  • Investigating Arts Practice (Component Leader)
  • Personal Tutor

Felicity has an active research interest in choreological studies and the relationships present between music and dance. She is currently in the process of pursuing a PhD, where through practice as research, she hopes to continue to interrogate her research questions. She is the director and choreo-composer for FlickerrDance Company which presents abstract work featuring choreography and music she has created. Her work has been performed in Bristol, Bournemouth, Somerset and London.

  • Trinity Laban: Specialist Diploma in Choreological Studies (July 2013-2016) Distinction
  • Plymouth University: MRes Dance (Sept 2013-July 2014) Distinction
  • A practice as research inquiry exploring how music and dance can be generated together through a new choreographic practice. This was then developed further and presented at Resolution!2015
  • TrinityLaban: Contemporary Dance BA (Hons) First Class Honours (2010-2013)

  • 2017 Iris Truscott Award from the Royal Academy of Dance 
  • 2016 Fiona Campbell Bursary for the Royal Academy of Dance
  • 2014 Intellect Postgraduate Prize in Dance
