Marcus Andrews

Biography

Marcus Andrews was born in 1977 and began piano lessons aged 6 with Yvonne Dinwiddy. In 1990 he began his studies at Trinity College of Music with Simon Young and has since studied at the University of Connecticut with Neal Larrabee. Marcus has performed in Park Lane Group Young Artists Concert Series at the Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room and has appeared at the Cheltenham Festival, St Martin in the Fields, Dartington Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal National Theatre, Chelsea and Westminster Arts and at music societies across South East England. Marcus has also given recitals in Atlanta and Hartford in the USA and in Italy. In June 2001 he studied intensively with John O'Conor at the Beethoven Course in Positano, Italy, run by the Fondazione Culturale Wilhelm Kempff and has several times been a bursary student at Dartington International Summer School. Recent performances have included vocal recitals at Dartington with Stephen Varcoe and Sheila Barnes, recitals at Blackheath Halls, St Martin in the Fields and the Wigmore Hall and concerto appearances with the St Paul's Sinfonia and the Orchestergesellschaft Weil am Rhein.
