Charles Linehan has been Choreographer in Residence at The Place Theatre, London; Joint Adventures, Munich and Fabrica, Brighton as part of Brighton Festival. In March 2015 he was invited to be an Associate Artist with Dance4, Nottingham.
He has created over fifteen pieces for his own company and numerous national and international commissions. Charles Linehan Company have performed in over 20 countries and received commissions from Dance Umbrella, Royal Festival Hall, Joint Adventures, Munich; Dance 4 Nottingham, PACT Zollverein Essen, Danceworks Toronto, and Danspace, New York. The company has been regularly supported by Dance Umbrella Festival and The British Council.
Venues and Festivals the company has performed at include: Brussels (Kaai Theatre), Paris (Rencontres Choregraphiques Internationales de Saint-Denis), Venice (Venice Biennale), Munich (Joint Adventures, Muffathalle), National Arts Centre Ottawa, Harbourfront, Toronto; Hermitage St. Pertersburg, DanSpace New York, Dublin International Dance Festival, Brighton Festival and multiple venues in London.
Charles was guest curator at Nottdance Festival, Dance 4, Nottingham in 2011.
Having lived in Berlin for two years Charles returned to the UK in 2013 when he was appointed Reader in Choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
