The Trinity Laban Chamber Choir, directed by recently appointed artist in residence Stephen Jackson, is our flagship vocal ensemble.
Founded in 1990 it is one of the most active ensembles of all the London conservatoires, performing on BBC Radio, at the BBC Proms, at all the major London concert venues and on tour in France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
The Trinity Laban Chamber Choir provides students with exceptional training for the profession by giving them opportunities to perform a variety of repertoire, from Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary music, an area of particular specialism here. Regular venues include the Old Royal Naval College Chapel and St Alfege Church in Greenwich as well as the newly refurbished Blackheath Halls. Works by Judith Weir, Benjamin Britten, Imogen Holst, Libby Larsen, Judith Bingham, and Elizabeth Maconchy are featuring among the many rich and exciting performances in our 2018/19 calendar. The Chamber Choir also regularly perform alongside other Trinity Laban ensembles.
