Every year, applicants tell us that they enjoy auditioning at Trinity Laban.
Our audition procedure is designed to enable us to find out about you - not just how good a dancer and performer you are, but what sort of a person you are, and to assess whether you have the potential to be the sort of dancer who will benefit from the approach that we have. We aim to provide a positive and friendly atmosphere, and we want you to enjoy yourself.
Once your application is processed, you will be invited to audition at Trinity Laban. We hold auditions at intervals throughout the year in the UK and abroad.

BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance: Foundation Entry
Applications for the Foundation Entry will open soon.
We are currently accepting late applications via recording on request. Should you be interested in attending the audition or applying for a recorded audition please in the first instance email firstname.lastname@example.org and mark your email ‘MADP 2018’. A member of the team will then get back to you. Please note that we will not accept any late applications beyond the 29th June 2018.
Applications for 2019 entry will open later in the summer. For more information on how to apply or visit our Dance Applications page or please contact email@example.com. Following successful application via UCAS Conservatoires, you may be invited to attend an audition. Audition dates for 2019 entry are yet to be confirmed.
If you submit a recording, the content should be as follows:
1. 10 minutes of Contemporary Technique Class material (new material not previously learned)
Ideally footage of you performing the material during the class in which you learnt it. Please identify yourself so it’s clear which dancer you are. If you are unable to record the class itself, footage of you performing the material outside of a class setting is also acceptable, but the material should not be overly rehearsed. Footage of you being taught/learning the material is not necessary.
2. 10 minutes of performance
3. 2 x 3-minute improvisations (on 2 very contrasting themes)
The recordings can be submitted via Embark.
Applications for 2018 entry are now open
