A Taste of Jazz, for young female musicians and vocalists aged 11 – 16. Open to school groups and individuals

An interactive day of jazz exploration, playing and performing while working alongside professional jazz artists, Trinity Laban specialist staff and students. Get creative in a series of fun and informal workshops, which explore and develop improvisation skills, jazz music and provide young musicians the opportunity to play in a jazz ensemble with other young learners.

With groups available for varying experience levels, A Taste of Jazz is suitable for all young female musicians, aged 11-16. So, whether you’ve never improvised before or have been performing in your school jazz band for years, join us for this exciting day with something for everyone.

Young Women in Jazz, for female musicians and vocalists aged 16 – 25.

Offering a more intensive opportunity to experience what it’s like to study jazz at conservatoire level, participants work alongside Trinity Laban jazz tutors and professional musicians, as well as jazz students, to improve their jazz technique, gain peer-to-peer feedback and perform as an ensemble.

Young Women in Jazz will be at a more advanced level than A Taste of Jazz, and is suitable for female musicians aged 16-25 who are interested in conservatoire level study of jazz and already have experience of playing jazz.

You’ll find more information about both events on the day on our downloadable information sheet.
