Take part in an exciting day of practical workshops exploring and playing jazz.
Aimed at 15 – 25 year old female musicians - instrumentalists and vocalists – wanting to develop their understanding of the music, and get an intensive taste of learning jazz at one of the UK’s top conservatoires.
This year’s event is different to the 2019 jazz day in that it’s aimed at young females aged 15+. For younger musicians, a new strand of activity is being planned to commence in Autumn 2020 so please check back for updates.
Thursday 25 June 2020, 10.00h-16.30h
With workshops to suit different levels of experience, the day will give participants the opportunity to explore their creativity, work intensively in small groups with world-class teachers to improvise, develop technique, and then perform together as an ensemble. Along the way, get advice from top jazz professionals – including Andrea Vicary, Laura Jurd, Dee Byrne and vocalist Cherise Adams-Burnett – and the latest generation of Trinity Laban students, and hear them perform.
